What area do you service?
A map of the approximate service area can be viewed here. If you reside outside of the viewing area, please contact Chas to see if arrangements can be made.
What do I need to do before my first lesson?
You will need to be in posession of a provisional driving licence before you start your lessons. Information on how you can apply can be found here.
How many lessons will I need?
The number of lessons varies significantly from student to student, depending on your natural ability and how much time you have available to practice between lessons.
Where do lessons take place?
Lessons will cover a variety of locations, including all road types and traffic conditions. As you get closer to your test, some lessons will be taken on sample test routes.
Will I need my own vechicle for the lessons and/or the test?
A driving school car is provided for your lessons and test.
How can I practice between lessons?
Even if you only intend to practice on a car park, the car you practice in must be insured. Also, you will need to be accompanied by a qualified driver who is over the age of 21 and has held a full licence for at least 3 years.
How much does it cost?
Please call for prices. Block bookings are available at a discounted rate.
What else is involved?
Along with the practical side, driving theory is also part of the course. Chas recommends the Driving Test DVD-Rom, and you can also take advantage of online sample tests. Both of these can be found here.
What happens after I pass?
Drivers under 25 are encouraged to take a Pass Plus course, leading to reduced insurance premiums. For those over 25, motorway lessons are available after a successful practical test, as are Advanced and Defensive Driving courses.
